Un vero e proprio colpo di fulmine per le stanze da bagno di un boutique hotel portoghese che ho scovato curiosando in rete (su Pinterest, tanto per cambiare). Si trova poco distante da Santa Cruz (e a circa 45 km da Lisbona), immerso nella natura e a due passi dal mare.
E già qui, ciao.
Il suo nome deriva dalla pietra tipica della zona – gli areias do seixo appunto – ed è stato progettato dall’architetto Vasco Vieira, che ha saputo creare degli interni con un perfetto equilibrio di stili. Un tocco rustico, uno industriale, uno minimal, uno green. Il risultato è pazzesco, ed è ottenuto grazie all’utilizzo di materiali differenti, come il legno, il cemento, il vetro e il metallo.
14 camere (chiamiamole camere, saranno grandi quanto casa mia) tutte diverse l’una dall’altra ma tutte con camino e vista sull’oceano.
Contaminazioni etniche e ispirazioni orientali e africane si mescolano con dettagli di design senza creare caos, anzi, amalgamandosi perfettamente. Bella ‘sta frase, chissà come mi è venuta. No, dico… credete sia facile non cadere nell’effetto confusionario?
I bagni in realtà sono completamente aperti sulle camere da letto, e la vasche sono… praticamente piscine. E sì, nella seconda foto qui sopra c’è un albero nella doccia.
Addio, per me questo posto è un sogno.
Areias do Seixo: enchanting boutique hotel with gorgeous bathrooms
I was browsing on Pinterest when my eyes have been captured by the pictures of this stunning boutique hotel situated in a beautiful landscape, not far from Lisbon, in Portugal, and a few steps away from the Ocean’s sand.
Designed by portuguese architect Vasco Vieira, the hotel has been built in a beautiful landscape with a cubicle shape but in complete harmony with nature. The final style is a perfect mix of minimalist, industrial, green, rustic and raw details. It’s not so easy to use such different styles without creating a chaotic interior but in this hotel everything is perfectly combined.
14 rooms, each different from the other, all with stunning sea view and rustic fireplace. Wood, concrete, glass and raw materials have been used as main materials for this fantastic project.
Ethnic contaminations and oriental and african inspirations perfectly mix with design details. Bathrooms are open to the bedrooms and the concrete bathtubs… seem to be swimming pools! And… yes, in the third picture there’s a tree in the shower 😉
To me, this is a dream hotel, and I can only dream of being there one day.
