Stavolta però ho pensato di scovare qualche toilette di design in ristoranti o locali pubblici. Dopo il post su Trip Toilet e sull’importanza del bagno pubblico mi pareva il minimo. E questo è anche un velato suggerimento per i proprietari o gestori di strutture che prestano poca attenzione al bagno, lasciato sempre fuori dal progetto d’interni del locale… sbagliatissimo!! Spesso i selfie li fanno proprio lì, e se la toilette si fa notare sui social girano le foto 😉

“5 bathrooms, 5 places in the world, 5 inspirations”
This time we are going to travel throughout some design restrooms located in restaurants or cafès. After having known of Trip toilet app I thought it could be a good occasion to search for something related. I’m also thinking of all those restaurants owners that don’t pay attention to toilets’ design… what a big error!! People make selfies in the toilets, and if they find a beautiful restroom they share its pictures on the social networks 😉
SHANGHAI | Progettati dallo studio Neri & Hu Design and Research Office, i bagni del New Heights Restaurant sono stati ristrutturati recentemente, utilizzando diversi materiali tra cui bronzo, ceramica, legno (per i top, anche se dalla foto non sembra) e terrazzo veneziano. Il soffitto è stato realizzato con una maglia di metallo che lascia volutamente a vista le tubature!
SHANGHAI | The New Heights Restaurant’s restrooms have been recently renovated by Neri & Hu Design and Research Office, by using different materials such as bronze, porcelain (sinks), wood (countertops) and terrazzo. Barcellona | Uno spazio dedicato all’incontro e alla creatività, Artte lancia artisti emergenti mentre serve tè e piatti locali. Amalgamare tutte queste necessità all’interno di un antico salone da tè orientale è stato il principale obiettivo dello studio di Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Al di là degli interni (stupendi, che vi consiglio di sbirciare cliccando sul link sotto la foto), i bagni hanno un carattere unico: al posto di semplici lavandini, al centro dell’ambiente, dei grandi vasi di porcellana turchese; la rubinetteria è un insieme di tubi di rame a vista dall’aspetto scultoreo… spettacolare!!
Barcelona | Artte is a creative space dedicated to creativity, art and… tea! Yes, because these eclectic interiors belong to an ancient oriental tea room, renovated by Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Besides the interiors (that I suggest you to see by clicking on the link under the picture), the restrooms have a stunning design: instead of simple sinks, there are big azure porcelain vases in the centre of the space, and water comes out from a set of copper pipes that looks like a sculpture. I love it!

Sydney | I servizi di uno dei grattacieli che caratterizzano lo skyline di Sydney: l’MLC Centre. Progettati dallo studio Luchetti Krelle, hanno un elemento ricorrente che li caratterizza: la struttura metallica antracite che divide ogni lavabo. Originale lo specchio tondo che enfatizza il ripetersi degli elementi allungando lo spazio all’infinito.
Sydney | Here are the restrooms of one of the most important Sydney skyscrapers, the MLC Centre. The amenities have been designed by Luchetti Krelle Studio and are characterized by the metallic anthracite structure used to separate each sink. I find the big round mirror, that endlessly emphasizes the elements repeating, very original.

Santiago| I bagni del ristorante Mestizo, dal design ispirato agli interni del locale, nel quale legno e pietra sono i protagonisti. Bellissimo il sistema di rubinetteria in acciaio che scende dal soffitto!
Santiago| Restaurant Mestizo’s toilets, inspired by the rest of the interior design. Stone and wood are the protagonists as you can see, together with the stainless steel of the taps system coming down from the ceiling.

KIEV | Troppo carine, queste sono le toilette di una moderna pasticceria aperta a Kiev, progettata da 2B Group. All’interno del locale un enorme cagnolino rosa fatto di palloncini domina la scena, e rosa è uno dei colori usati per le toilette (insieme al giallo e al verde come vedete). Informale, originale e luminoso… divertente anzi!
